Victoria's Story: A Social Butterfly Deals with a rare cancer

Victoria's Season of Giving, Season of Hope (2022)

Victoria was only 9 months old when she was diagnosed with cancer. Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare form of cancer with lots of inflammation-like symptoms, but Victoria has met her challenges and exceed all expectations.


Harper Mynatt

Harper's Amazing Story of Survival and Recovery (2021)

In the early hours of March 3, 2020, a category F4 tornado touched down outside of Cookeville, TN, leveling Chad and Jill's home and badly injuring their 1-year-old daughter, Harper. This plucky toddler survived with some help from East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Several weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), followed by extensive rehabilitation, continue to exceed the expectations of her recovery.

Holston

Holston's Courageous Battle with Cancer (2020)

Holston's battle with cancer has stretched for more than 600 days. Although some days are harder than others, most days when Holston visits Children's Hospital, he brings a radiant smile and hilarious sense of humor.
Jaxson

Jaxson Marches to His Own Drummer (2019)

Jaxson is a remarkable little boy battling a rare genetic disorder. He first came to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital through the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and we've cared for him through every complex stomach surgery and bump in the head since!

Eli Shines A Very Unique Light (2018)

40 diagnoses, 44 surgeries, 30 subspecialists and one Children’s Hospital. Eli and his family go through more struggles in one day than some of us experience in a lifetime. But this bundle of sass always brings a smile to his medical team and shines his own unique light wherever he, his special chair and his faithful companion, Tobias, go.
