What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants help people of all ages participate in meaningful, daily activities or occupations. Here at ETCH, we serve the pediatric population starting at 1 day old to 21 years of age. We help kids participate in their occupations of play, activities of daily living (ADLs), emotional regulation, social participation, and more!
What populations do we serve?
Occupational therapists treat kids with wide range of diagnoses including: developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, orthopedic impairments, spinal cord injuries, neonatal abstince syndrome, down syndrome, and more!
What settings do we work in?
Here at ETCH we have occupational therapists that work at the outpatient rehabilitation centers including: Sevier Outpatient Center, West Knoxville Rehabilitation Center, Emory Center Rehabilitation Center. We also have occupational therapist that work inside the hospital or in clinics such as the NICU, PICU, Oncology clinic, Grow With Me Clinic, and Motivational Mealtimes Clinic.
