Feeding Therapy
Our Speech-Language Pathologists at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital treat children with a variety of feeding difficulties, including:
- Picky eating/food selectivity
- Dysphagia or other oral motor deficits
- Oral aversion
- Transitioning off tube feedings
- Difficulty with breast and/or bottle feeding
- Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder
Our Purpose
We use a variety of evidence-based, child-led and family-centered treatment approaches with a focus on caregiver education to help both you and your child enjoy mealtimes more.
Our Speech Language Pathologists are also an integral part of our interdisciplinary feeding evaluation, Motivating Mealtimes. This comprehensive team helps identify areas of concern that may be impacting the child’s ability to eat and make recommendations and a customized care plan.
