Our Team is Growing
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the services and facilities at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, we are making some changes to our practice. As always, our priority is providing safe, high-quality care to our patients.
We are pleased to share we will be combining our practice with the well-known East Tennessee Pediatric Cardiology – Dr. Yvonne Bremer and Dr. Michael Liske - to form East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cardiology

ETCH Pediatric Cardiology will now have four board-certified pediatric cardiologists with more than 70 combined years of experience. You will continue to see your current provider for appointments, and our experienced team of office staff will all be part of the new ETCH Pediatric Cardiology.
Location
Effective September 1, we are moving into a new space on the 2nd floor of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital’s South Tower – this new space is across the street from our current location at the corner of 21st Street and White Avenue.
You can use any of the convenient parking options at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital when you visit our new clinic.
After-hours provider
Starting July 1, Dr. Yvonne Bremer and Dr. Michael Liske will share after hours call with Drs. Hurst and Sharma. If you have a question after our office closes, please continue to call (865) 522-0420 and ask to speak to the provider on call.
Patient portal
Beginning in September, we will debut a new patient portal and mobile app, MHealth. You can still message your provider, view your records and more. If you have any questions about the new patient portal, please call East Tennessee Children’s Hospital’s Medical Records department at (865) 541-8288.

Billing
Beginning September 1, ETCH Pediatric Cardiology will be considered a hospital-based outpatient department, and patients will receive two bills for services.
The facility fees are for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, and a second bill is for professional services rendered by the cardiology physicians and practice. Office visit copays will no longer be applicable, and we recommend contacting your insurance carrier to determine your plan’s coverage for hospital-based outpatient appointments.
