Pediatric Genetics at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital uses the most advanced diagnostics to create customized treatment plans for families. Our board-certified Geneticist and team of pediatric genetics counselors have the expertise that families can trust. If your child has or is at risk for developing a genetic disorder, our team provides professional, family-centered support and guidance in a bright, child-friendly atmosphere.
Children may need genetic consultation if they:
- Were born with a disorder, birth defect or disability
- Received abnormal test results that suggest a genetic condition
- Have a family history that increases their risk of getting a genetic disorder
East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Pediatric Genetics is the largest comprehensive newborn genetic screening center in Tennessee. Our team includes medical professionals who specialize in genetics, as well as nurses and social workers to provide assistance and comfort to your family and children. We provide in-person evaluations for kids of all ages to better diagnose, confirm or rule out any genetic conditions.
