A Day in the Life of Reggie, the HABIT Dog (October 23, 2024)

Reggie the HABIT dog is a real celebrity! Reggie and all our other emotional support dogs bring so much joy to our patients and their families. Even our staff LOVE our furry friends 🐶🐾🦴

HABIT is a community group of volunteers working together to explore the circumstances and consequences of the human-animal bond and to promote this valuable bond between people and animals. HABIT is comprised of representatives from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, volunteers from the community, and private veterinary practitioners.

Flu Shot Facts with Dr Stephanie Gorman (September 27, 2024)

Did you know that children two years old and younger are highly susceptible to the flu, especially under six-months-old? Dr. Stephanie Gorman from Seymour Pediatrics recommends getting annual flu shots, due to the change in prominent strands from year to year. Flu shots can reduce the severity and length of illness for those who are vaccinated and get sick. Check with your child’s pediatrician about how you can get the flu shot to protect you and your family!

A Day in the Life of a Telehealth Nurse with Myra (September 3, 2024)

Telehealth visits allow parents to take care of their sick child without the stress of leaving work. Children can visit the school nurse to connect with a provider through the use of virtual health tools. Join Anna as she walks us through a day in her life as a VolunTeen. The VolunTeen program provides a dynamic and educational experience for high school students aged 16 or entering the 11th grade. Students do not need to be interested in a medical field to benefit from the program. Applications open in January!
