Collaboration is Favorite Part of Dietitian Brittany Carson's Career
“In my diverse role, I serve as an inpatient dietitian, the dietitian for the inpatient eating disorder cases, the dietitian in Motivating Meal Times which is a pediatric feeding disorders evaluation clinic, and as the Developmental Follow Up Clinic dietitian coverage. Additionally, this past year I have proudly been the WBIR segment dietitian for ETCH. My day to day includes screening patients for malnutrition and fostering medical nutrition interventions that promote healing and growth. My expertise lies in nutrition interventions using infant formula, oral medical nutrition supplements, enteral nutrition by tube feeding, and total parenteral nutrition.
One of my favorite aspects of my career at ETCH is the privilege of collaborating with an exceptional interdisciplinary team. The collaborative spirit within the healthcare team, coupled with the resilience of pediatric patients, make my role as a dietitian truly meaningful and gratifying. Working for ETCH brings me immense joy and fulfillment by being able to work with incredible families while making a positive impact on patients’ nutrition status. It is of the upmost honor to be a part of my patients’ care team with ETCH.”
