Children's Hospital is ChildKind Certified
Hospital is nationally recognized for quality care
East Tennessee Children's Hospital is now a ChildKind certified facility. The certification recognizes our organization's commitment to excellence in providing pediatric pain care.
What does it mean to be a ChildKind facility?
ChildKind is an international organization that assesses and recognizes health care facilities for their efforts in reducing and managing pain for their pediatric patients. In their assessment, the surveyors look at how hospitals have developed standardized, institution-wide, collaborative evidence-based approaches to the treatment of children’s pain and certifies those institutions as ChildKind Certified hospitals.
East Tennessee Children's Hospital's Commitment to Comfort has always been at the top of our care concerns. Our culture of maximizing comfort and minimizing pain is a focus we share through family education and hands-on staff training. We work with families to ensure their child has the most comfortable experience possible, no matter what brings them to our doors.
