The August 2020 DAISY Award Winner is Anita Maningas (RN – NICU).

"My newborn baby was admitted to NICU at ETCH; she spent 2 weeks there. I had Anita as an RN three times and each time was such a reward. She handled my baby with such compassion along with me and the father. She also taught me so much about care that even a mother of now three, I had no idea. You can really tell she loves what she does and wants what’s best for her patients. The comfort, support, and knowledge I’m leaving with because of Anita is so amazing, not saying all the RNs weren’t amazing. Anita just made it special to the point I said I wanted to call up to the floor when I go home if I had any questions. I have been raised by my mother who is an RN who also received this award, and I really feel that Anita deserves it as well."
