Two Hospital Leaders Recognized by Tennessee Hospital Association

This year the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) recognized East Tennessee Children’s Hospital President and CEO Keith Goodwin with the President’s Award for providing extraordinary service to the Association and ETCH with exceptional leadership and service. Goodwin took the helm of Children’s Hospital in 2007. Under his leadership, the hospital has implemented a nationally acclaimed innovative program for infants born with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS); launched Project ADAM TN to put life-saving AEDs in local schools; opened a state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric surgery center, and specialty clinics.

Hospital Director of Quality Management and Patient Safety, Tammy Van Dyk was also awarded with the Patient Safety Leadership Award for her services in making patient safety a top priority at ETCH. Through her leadership the hospital continues to achieve positive milestones in patient safety care.
