Hello Neighbor,

2020 brought a lot of changes, including me packing up my family and moving to Knoxville, Tennessee to become president and CEO of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

It is my privilege to present this annual report for the 2019-2020 fiscal year and highlight just some of the amazing things this organization accomplished during this historic year.

None would argue that our community, organization, country, and world faced unprecedented seasons in 2020, but those challenges presented amazing opportunities here at Children’s Hospital. Together, we were able to launch a long-anticipated telemedicine system for patients. We opened our new Discovery Innovation and Simulation Center -- and immediately put them to work 3D printing supplies to combat COVID-19. We’ve been able to accelerate -- and in some cases complete -- much-needed projects that vastly improve our pediatric healthcare system and the environment where our teams can continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and families today, tomorrow, and for years to come.

Because as important as it is to reflect on the past, my friends and colleagues at Children’s Hospital are just as focused on the future. That’s what we do best: build better futures for children and families.
